Isaac Sutherland for MPP Kitchener South–Hespeler

Isaac Sutherland

Isaac Sutherland grew up in Guelph. His passion for software development caught fire at the age of nine and led him to seek and earn his Bachelor of Software Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He took a software development position straight out of college. More than a decade later, you’ll find him cheerfully working that same job, which prior to 2020 involved frequent international travel, including to the USA, Europe, Japan, and Indonesia. He lives in Kitchener with his wife and four young children. He is actively involved in his local church where he serves as precentor. Isaac's parents gave him a God-centred education, and he regards his homeschooling background as a gift and a privilege – one that he and his wife have begun to pass on to their own children.

Isaac has chosen to run for office largely because of one lesson that has grown in significance for him since 2020: pain is for repentance. The Lord says in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Isaac hopes to represent an Ontario humbling itself before God in Jesus’ name. Please vote for him in June.
